Wireless keyboard: missing letters

I've started noticing recently that my wireless keyboard skips letters quite a lot. I'm a fast typer, so is it possible that the key press just isn't registering with the wireless receiver? I don't have this prob with wired keyboards, so it can't be me :) Could it be anything else? I've had the board about 6 months, batteries, possibly?

If so, I'll have to plumb for a good wired keyboard: is the MS one any good? I have a Logitech on my other PC, but the default F-key behaviour is sooo annoying. (F5 does an undo until you hit F-lock. Refresh? Nah, undo mate )

Check whether any other wireless devices are not near the hub and change the batteries :D

Batteries? I don't suppose I should be surprised. Meh, think I'll buy a wired board tomorrow.
