    Hi,
I recently installed my QuickCam on my laptop. It was working fine but now the picture I get is quite blurry (see attached image) and I can't seem to get it back to the way it should be. I have tried different picture settings but nothing seems to work.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

Simple question, but are you sure it's not condensation or something like that?
I can't really think of a digial reason for the blur to be honest.

re install or try it on a different system maybe, i had a similar problem but it turned out that the focus could actually be altered by rotating the lens

Great!!! I started twisting the lens and it got back the way it was...

Come to think of now, I do remember twisitng the little rubbery bit at the lens one day, you wouldn't think it would do anything with focus, I thought it was just to make the camera look good

yeah.. lol.. cos usually if the image is out of focus, the first thing you'd try would be to sharpen it with the lens... ...

To be honest, I didn't either, but I guess it's been introduced mainly due to the fact that a lot of webcams nowadays are being used to take static photos, rather than just recording video. I guess it's just another step in the "higher-resolution" generation...
