The website looks very corporate and Kazaa-like. :rolleyes: The bundled Cydoor isn't the nicest, either. Many people will probably use eXeem Lite instead, I'm sure it will be updated to match the official 0.20 version soon.

I've managed to download it, the download speed of the installer is shocking. Very very slow, I can't believe they didn't provide a mirror.

I'm not installing it because of the Cydoor Adware. I don't want that running every time I start up my computer. Although I've read somewhere that the Cydoor is not in this "public beta", and will only be bundled with the full version.

eXeem Lite 0.18 seems okay (just click on X when it asks for a serial), but if you're looking for a specific album or file, it's hit and miss as to whether you'll be able to find it or not because of the limited files available. However, it is extremely easy to post files to the network. You basically just tell it which file you want to post. All the torrent making/uploading happens behind the scenes.

If there are enough seeds on a file, download speeds are very very fast I find, although most of what is posted there is rubbish. I can imagine the network filling up with porn/fake files/badly named files very quickly, and it could become another Kazaa.

They really should have some kind of quality control on what can and cannot be posted. Also, it's partially incompatible with ordinary torrents. You can download ordinary torrents with it, but you can't download eXeem "torrents" with other programs.

I'll stick to Azereus for my torrents I think.

I was just playing around with it there.
the lite version doesn't seem as bad as everyone
is making out here.

I think the "comments" option is a very good idea as
people can say if they had problems with certain files
or if files didn't contain what they were meant to
contain. This I think would prevent a kazaa like
situation from developing.

I have been waiting with baited breath for this program
for weeks and I am happy with it so nah nah nah nah nah

what about there only being 516 files to download? pretty poor if u ask me, dl from exeem lite at moment and getting sihte speeds. Im stickin to BT

Actually since about 4 years ago I buy all my music on Vinyl, so to get stuff onto my Ipod/Pc i either need to borrow the CD off a mate or use Bit torrent? Vinyl is nearly always more expensive than Cd's and through the right system I think it sounds nicer. Not everyone uses Bit torrent the way you think?

Downloading 2 files at the moment; Search shows only 1 seeder on most files at the moment. When Suprnova went out of action it was taking 1million hits a day apparently so this has a long way to go to catch up.

Am going to go and try and uninstall some of this adware

Any consideration I may have had for the non-lite version
of eXeem is completely gone now.

Pity about the danger for end users, I was sure there was going to be
some sort of encryption involved in this program.
