    Hullo,

I've just purchased this card to replace my Fx5200 and so this is my first time ever looking inside a computer never mind adding hardware. Anyway, got it to work but it's telling me that I need to connect it to a power supply for it to fully work. Now, I presume it doesn't mean your everyday 3 pin plug going into the a plug socket, so what does it mean? Where would I get this wire and what will I plug it into??

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Gary

Its very likely that it needs a "molex" connector. It looks like a rectangle with rounded edges with 4 pins inside it. The same connectors will be going to your DVD drive and proabably hard drives. If you have a spare one of those connectors hanging out anywhere plug it into the connector on the end of your graphics card. If not you cant get a Y-splitter to get you an extra one for a euro or two at Peats.
    Good luck

    Cheers,

So I need to take the molex from the DVD/CD drive and connect a splitter and then connect to the small box with the four pins on the end of the graphics card??

you take the power lead from the dvd drive off, connect it to the y spitter and then put one in your dvd and the other to your graphics card. you may have got one with your graphics card.

    Cheers,

Right, didn't get one with the card and nor does it mention it in the manual which is fairly stupid. I'll pop into peats tommorrow and grab one. A "4-pin molex splitter" is what I'm asking for, no????

    Thanks again.
