What did Leo drop just after Jed told him to draw up a list of successors? Some kind of badge or something?

I'm not sure, but it looked to me like a button broke on his jacket as he was closing it. I'm going to have to look again to be sure...

Yep, it looked like a close-up of a button falling into water, to me.

Errah not really your fault I suppose. The admins should have thought of it when they installed the stupid things.

    You could be right.

TO digress......anyone watch the american president tonight...good few west wing actors in it, including Sheen. Weird seeing him take orders from a different president. haha

The West Wing was actually written as a politically-based progression from that film, which was one of Sorkin's first forays into The White House. If you recall Season One, one of the first things President Bartlett called into question was the idea of a "proportionate response" (Ep103, I believe) to an act against the US, something President Shepard also questions in "The American President".

Anyway, to come back to the original thread, it looked very big to be a button, unless you're talking about the American meaning of button of course. I think the mother recorded it, I'm going to have to look again, aren't I? :)
