    My Favourites currently would be

Lampard(Not deserving but I feel will get it)
    Terry
    Heinze

Not really much outside of these 3 - No Arsenal player has really stood out this year.

Maybe SWP - should get young player

Anyone know when its voted for this year.

He will prob be nominated - IMHO there is very few oustanding players this season.

Graveson, could definally do it if he makes his name at Real Madrid, outstanding player for everton, chance for the big time.

    Some possibles for me anyway!
    De Foe
    Shaun Wright Philips
    Roy Keane(realy hitting form)
Steven Gerrard(not at his best this season as of yet)
    Robben
    Duff
Graveson (maybe not now as he has departed)
Henry(i expect him to be in with a shout come end of season)
Thats all i can think of at moment!
Personaly id love to see some one like SWP to get it !

I'd say once again he's been dragging Liverpool by the scruff of the neck ala Roy on the way to last world cup. Played off the park by Keane last weekend but I'm happy to go along with the groin injury story.

Bias aside I'd expect to see either Terry or Lampard winning it from kida's original shortlist.

    Robben
    Duff
As long as Robben and Duff continue the way they are Robben will always get it ahead of Duff. Duff has been more effective both offensively and defensively this season for Chelsea yet he can't even make poll's like those on www.icons.com . The question: "Who has been Chelsea's most valuable player this season?". The options:
    Cech
    Terry
    Makelele
    Lampard
    Robben

Whenever someone has to choose between Duff and Robben, the vast majority of people will chooce the latter.

BTW, nobody going for Andy Johnson? Surely if Defoe can be in with a shout Johnson can too. Graveson's hardly going to get it on half a season in the league. :)

gerrard, hes been the only stand out player that has dragged liverpool along this season, especially important if they get champions league spot.

no other player has been as influential to a team then him this season, except maybe andy johnson.

roy keane and heinze have been excellent but i feel united could cope without one of those better the pool could without gerrarg or palace without johnson.

how a team will cope without a certain player isnt any reflection on how good he is,its more a reflection on the squad depth and how thin the pool squad is on any player who could be compared to mr.G

my players of the season would have to be from the following

    Terry
    Heinze
    Wright-Phillips
maybe Duff but im kinda bias :p

First name I thought of, and in with a shout IF he helps keep Palace up.
