Anyone have any trouble contacting www.overclockers.co.uk they don’t accept emails and i can’t get through to them on the phone.

I ordered an X800XT PCI-E on the 13 DEC and they sent out an AGP, so i got an RMA number and sent it back, they received it on the 7-jan-05 and i haven’t herd from them since  they said it takes between 7-10 days. its now 12 days:mad:

Any one else in or has been in the same boat with them, maybe you could tell be how long it took for them to send the correct item?

I would assume they meant 7-10 working days. That's about all I could suggest. If your worried a phone call is your best bet. If they're busy/lazy/staff quit/went on holidays/coup d'etat then you'll know much faster by phone.

    G'luck.

I've had email contact with overclockers in the past month. Reasonably quick response too (under 24 hours[1]).

[1]All "under 24 hours" responses are now merely "reasonable" since I got a query to SVP Comms via email answered in six minutes

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

In same boat. Sent back graphics card two weeks ago under RMA. Only ways they accept incoming communications (apart from the phone where you can't get through) are:

    1. Snail mail
    2. Fax

I got through with a fax

They quit external email just before Xmas, back to the past for underclockers.co.uk

They _quit_ e-mail? What the hell? Why on earth would they do that??

    From their contact page:
"Note - from Tuesday 21st December 2004 you will not be able to communicate with any department via e-mail. Please call by phone wherever possible or if not convenient use fax or write to us at the address below."

    That's just...crazy. What sorta tech firm doesn't have e-mail?

I have ordered 4 times in the past 2 month on overclockers and bar 1, the rest of them was a pain. From now on I'll only order from them unless I REALLY have to. I find the best time to call them is at 9 am. If you cant get them by then, chances are its difficult to get through. My problems with them have been:

    1. They do not accept emails anymore.
    2. 50% of the time all their customers service is busy, "please call back" and hangs up.
    3. 49% of the time I was put on hold for about 10-15 minutes and got cut of suddenly
    4. 1% I actually get throught to them

Other thing I'd advice is do not use Euro48 service as once they reach Ireland, they are sent GLS which is another problem lol.

Ah, I must have been one of the last to get a response then.

I don't think I'd bother dealing with a company that I couldn't contact via email - we've all become used to using it when buying stuff.

I've been warning people not to use these guys for months, they're getting worse and worse every month. Don't say I didn't warn you! ;)

They are very VERY slow with RMAs. You will eventually get your card. My X800 disappeared for 6 weeks...

I have to say I think overclockers.co.uk are a joke too.
Great prices but they have NEVER answered the phone to me, and their email response has never been within 24 hrs.

    "Phone back later...." my arse.

Just out of curiousity, is it a certain product or something that makes you might need to "REALLY" order from them? I'm building up a list of things to source suppliers for and I don't wanna miss out on something obvious. ;) I'll trawl through their site at some stage when I've more time.

For me, they were the only one that had XT PE at the time. Then when I wanted to upgrade, they were the only one that had FX-55 and ram booster. Unfortunately, they're stock turnover is very good but everything else suck. Tried ringing them the whole day today, its either the line was busy or no one picks up the phone. Customer service wise, I have to say, they are the worst of any companies I have dealt with.

    i think overclockers is great!

unless you need to contact them  ..which now sounds like its getting even harder to do! i must say ive spent most of money with them..i think im gonna start relying on my other sources...no email..thats just wrong

I'd recommended overclock.co.uk. Shipping is cheaper and you'll get the stuff next day or the day after. Best of all they DO answer their phones and dont use GLS.
