Ok, I have reformatted the 2gb hard drive on an old laptop i want to install windows xp on but when i rebot it asks for a system boot disk, however there is no attachment for a 3.5 floppy drive, is there any way to get the computer to boot from the windows xp disk?? or any suggestions
    Thanks

if it doesn't boot from the cd when it's installed then you need to change the boot sequence in the bios

If your using an original or copied well Xp disc it will boot from it, if in bios CDrom is selected.

If your disc isnt original or copied well it wont boot from it.

Make a Cdrom boot disc in Nero and boot pc with that (it acts as a virtual floppy) it will assign a CD Drive letter, stick in the Xp cd and type"D:/"
When you have D drive up in dos, type "Cd i386" then in next line type "winnt" Xp will then install from Dos.
