    Folks,

Recently my brother showed me how to get at news groups. But the only way i can get them is by using Outlook which i rate as a POS.

Is there another way i can view them... say using IE/Outlook 2003/Firefox/3rd Party software???

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Kev register with www.easynews.com. You can browse via the web instead of having to use a newsreader. It also has a very handy global search feature which will search all newsgroups in one go. Also have a read of this guide on newsgroups:

    http://www.slyck.com/ng.php

    Info on newsreaders - http://www.slyck.com/ng.php?page=3

as posted earlier newzbin is a god send. It indexes all posts into categories. These days it's impossible to work out what a post is. For example 0906_dtsac3_Forum_part01.rar. You would have no idea what this post is. However with newzbin you will. It is a subscription service (to get the headers - most times it useless otherwise) but it's really cheap. About $2 for 8 weeks.

If you need more info just post back.
