I can see Gibson going into spasms over it

    ...again

It's a nice guitar though, even if from that angle it looks like he is playing a gibson (if you ignore the headstock of course). I like the thick cream stripe compared to the thin one gibson use.

It's very Gibsonish alright. The thick binding definately adds something to it. Hmm, he's using those planetwaves locking straps. Wonder what they're like. Must pick up one...

Already got strap locks on my guitar, could nae be bothered with looking at other strap locking mechanisms. It's not as if I gyrate like a madman.

I know. I just need to pick up a new strap so I think I'll look into them.

maybe I should get one for my drum machine?

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

Hmm, it's an idea. Like a harmonica brace but for a drum machine!

    He looks...wrong without his Kelly.

Damn straight. I don't like that and I don't like his previous Ibanez SZ either. He should be playing something pointy and he should be playing it fast :(

Someone, get that man a STEALTH!

:p True. I quite liked his SZ's to be honest. Not a shredder's guitar by any stretch of my big-handed imagination but very nice to fool around on tonally.

I was considering a SZ for a time. Still am kinda...

Lovely guitars. I was thinking of it primarily from a drop-tuning point of view. I don't drop-tune much anymore though and I does like a trem occasionally. :)

I use my main guitar for E standard and Drop D, now worries about the trem ****ing itself either :D

Yeah, never have any worries with my Floyd going to D but it'd be nice to experiment a bit lower.

Don't. I have one and they're kinda awkward and big. Ive switched to straplocks and theyre better imho. The rubber kinda damages guitar finishes. My old ibanez is kinda worn/scratched/dull around where the strap button is

Drop C is where the real action is, drop D is for pretenders :D

ALL drop tunings are for pretenders. Be a real man and go all the way for D standard and C standard tunings.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

    Bah

I've a geetor tuned to ADGCFAD

    TEKKIT!

And technically, C and D standard are drop tunings...

random tuning is where the real skill lies
