not from a web developer point of view, but generally speaking....

your titles such as curriculum vitae and education are two different shades of blue.
also, why do you have them. these will be printed on paper, and not viewed on a screen. they look stupid.

your personal details : why do you have left alignments and then the information centred? can you not align them all? looks messy

what stage are you at in your degree? you dont say.
try and put all your waffle in 3rd person. it 'sounds' more professional.

do not say 'languages i have programmed in'. tell them that you can use the language, you know it. ive programmed in c before, but i couldnt tell you what it is now. you are trying to sell yourself.

i assume there are some marks to go with your leaving?
any reason why you leave them off?

    your employment history.
    sucks.

stop padding out your jobs. if you dont have experience, dont show it up by trying desperatly to fill a page with dross.
there is no need to be embarassed by your work experience, but if you simply dont have it, then you dont have it. it will just allow you to use more space on telling about your wonderful way of programming or whatever.

last job comes first. you have it the wrong way around.

    achievments.
    what was your qualification.
what is the website? by the way, did you design and write that website? because webmastering is easy :)

    nice list of interests. yawn.
why dont you tell us about some of them? what competitions do you swim in? what do you do in tennis and hurling and soccer?

leave out your references. you can give them when you are asked for them.

and for gods sake, leave out the stupid blue banners.

now, go rewrite and post back :)

Everything WhiteWashMan said, but I'd say its not stylish enough. He might not agree with that. But any designers I know have "designed" CV. It should probably be in PDF aswell.

i would certainly agree with the style part, but i think the content needs to be put right.
worry about the style and layout when you know what you want to put into it!

but as you know, im a big fan of the minimalist style, so as far as im concerned, less is more from a style point of view (not content)

Saying you prefer notepad over professional web development tools is going to count against you.

I've taken some time to review your CV, not_sure, and my own opinion is that the design and content of your document could benefit from some additional work.

My advice? Spend a few more hours ensuring that this critical employment document really shows your talents off in the best possible light.

For the design, you might like to take a look at these sample CV layout options.

As for the content, perhaps these CV writing tips will help assist you in bringing your curriculum vitae up to scratch.

    Hope this helps!
