Possible to attach my laptop (DVD player) to my TV?

    Hello All,

    I was wondering if it is possible to attach my laptop to my TV with the itention of watch DVDs (playing from my laptop) on the TV???

    Does your laptop have a TV-out socket? If it does, then connect it to a TV!

    Hmmm I'm not sure :) I will check later when I am at home.

    But assuming it does, I can then attach it up and... see my laptop screen on the TV??? (sorry, I'm a bit clueless regarding this.)

    Yes, you will, but you may run into a problem if it is S-video (a circular connector, like a mouse port). If it is a yellow, circular connector, you should be fine,

    If it is S-video - do a search on these forums, it's been discussed several times. You need a cable from www.svideo.com (at least, that's where I got mine).
