You'll have to go on the London Eye for a start!

Go to covent gardens, go upstairs in the Punch and Judy pub, get a pint and stand on the balcony watching the street performers.

    Great craic.

Try that good old reliable.. Tower Of London. When we went we spent the whole day there. Might be a bit chilly at this time of the year though. I also found some great second hand record shops around the Soho area.

go for a drink in soho, shopping in the markets in covent garden and notting hill the high st shops in oxford st (oxford st aint that nice). sit in hyde park and have a picnic. do the london eye, tower and buckingham palace. be warned u have to pay to get into westminister abbey and st pauls so u might not want to do that. go to all the theaters and check out if u can get last minute cheap seats for something!(they are loads of ticketmaster type outlets that will make that easier). go to grenwich and stand in two hemispheres. go to the city and drink cocktails with the suits after work. get locked in soho and have a great night

I'd recommend seeing St.Paul's, then walking accross the pedestrian bridge to Tate modern, and if you felt like it walking to the Globe theatre from there.
You could take in Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden and Soho in a few hours strolling.
Go to Brick Lane for a curry - that's also the epicentre of (probably) the trendiest/best goingout area.
Come out of Angel tube, turn right and walk 10 mins for a load of alright/nice bars.
Camden and Portabello Road are good too.
Columbia Road flower market is good on a Sunday morning and there's a fish shop there where you can get little tubs of prawns and things, then you could walk to Spittlefields Market and have a scoop in (I think it's called) the 5 Bells, where one of Jack the Ripper's victims was last seen alive (or something).
Finally - call me old fashioned, but I'd recommend the Monument (at monument tube) above the London Eye.
Also- try to get the latest Time Out Magazine (before you go if possible), a mini A-Z (£5 in newsagents over there) and a weekend, zones 1 and 2 tube pass.
    Have a good trip!

Head out to Greenwich on the Tube. Maritime museum, nice park and the GMT wotsit up on the hill as well as the cutty sark. After that if you walk back to the docks you can get a ferry cheap which will bring you all the way down to Big Ben (near the london eye).

Also if you are into musuems then exhibition road has tons of them. The Science one is always fun.

Hyde Park, and Buckinham Palace (as well as the gardens around it).

You can get Legal Shrooms around Camden, if you're in to that. For great view, walk over waterloo bridge at night. I haven't really done much sightseeing, since I got here. I should.

Go for a walk around south kensington. Its a lovely area, very wealthy. The national history musuem, hyde park and harrods are there. They're all definitely worth a visit.
The gherkin building in the financial centre is also worth a look.
