Is there anyone here with the ferrari that has attempted tv out? I can never seem to get it to work. I'm pretty sure i have the right cables. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? Let me know what cables you're using too and what method you use to connect the svideo. Thanks

Fraid i dont have a Ferarri Acer laptop but i was having trouble getting my s-video out working on my dell desktop until i connected the s-vid out port to the vt svid port with a s-video cable and played around in the settings.

Connect the tv to your laptop first though, or else the options dont appear. The settings are in properties when you right click on the desktop, go to settings, then advanced. The tab with your graphics card on it should have some options. when you get through this flick around on your tv's av options. The desktop screen should appear on your tv. If this doesnt work search the forum for 'tv out' or 's-video'. Sorry cant help more but this helped for me.

Was looking at the Acer laptops, how is the customer service with that crowd?

As you can see from my name I have the above Acer ....no problems so far !

(Only will have to get a external hard disk as the 80GB 's are nearly Fulll - thanks to Alllofmp3 )

Have only done it in Dual screen mode ...see your ATI card config & Setup.

I ran a video cable only from the S Video port and from the headphones port a left and right audio to my surround sound system ......!( May try dif setup will let you know )

Did have to do a bit of setup on my TV ...to get picture..!

But it works fine for watching ripped DVD's..

    Keep on trying ...!
