Anyone have any interesting/recurring/interesting recurring dreams?

Ive been having this one now for at least the last 10 years, and had it as recently as last week again.

Basically, there is no set situation, but the end is always similar.

What happens is that all my teeth fall out. Its happened while brushing my teeth, drinking something thats too cold/hot, after getting a clatter, using a toothpick.

Its always the same, first one falls out, I catch it, and the rest then crumble out of my mouth. Sometimes, I catch them, other times they are in an ashtray, sometimes I spit them down the toilet.

It doesnt even freak me out anymore, as ive had i so often.

Apparently this dream means I have insecurities about my career/love life. Cant see how that is apt to me anymore, as im very happy in my job, and have a very good relationship with my girlfriend. Maybe its lies, Secrets and lies.

Anyone else have simliar dreams, and know their meanings?

Well I had a dream last night.

I was playing a game of counter strike, but for real (i.e. real guns and if you die, you die proper) and somehow I managed to kill all the terrorists with my shotgun. We then retired to the bar (there was one on the 'map') and we drank Jack Daniels until I was woken up.......

mmmm this dosent sound half as cool typed out as it did when i was having the dream....... bah

The very first dream/nightmare that I remember having involved a Knight in silver armour on a jet black horse coming out of my shed in the back garden. There was a hell of a lot of dry-ice/ground level mist around, and it was pitch black outside. Don't remember anything else about it ...

One that I used to get VERY frequently (caused by playing the Commodore 64/Sega Megadrive too much) was the image of a tennis-racket head. It's holes were "filling up" - that is to say, i could 'feel' them fill.
It was very disconcerting, as it always left me with an uncontrollable rage, and inexplicable neccessity to quite literally murder everyone within screaming distance. Which I was unsuccessful at doing in the dream itself. *shudders while thinking about it ... :(*

I used to be a competitive swimmer - Another extrememly frequent dream was being able to kick off the ground, and literally swim in the air itself, high above everybody.

Dunno what they say about me *shrug* :)

    Gimmick !

I have got that same "teeth falling out dream" multiple times as well. I can remember that last time but I certainly have got it several times. Starts off with one loose tooth and gradually more and more seem to get loose and fall out.

I have pretty good teeth but when I was a child had lots taken out ??

Also have had a recurring dream as follows; Sitting down to do exam, pen won't write, pencil breaks and generally the simple writing implements and similar just don't work. BTW I have not done any exam in many years !!

Intriguing about the tooth one tho'!

For about the last 5 years i have been having this dream (at least once a week) where a giant wave is going to hit Dublin and everybody is panicking and trying to get to higher ground, for some reason i think that by climbing to the top of the monument in the Phoenix park is going to save me. Sometimes there are people with me (i.e Friends or family) other times i am on my own.
I never actually see the wave hit, just the threat of it, it is on TV and the radio through weather reports. It freaks me out sometimes cos it has that real end of the world feel to it.

I have dreams about my teeth falling out all the time too. Generally they are just really really loose and im going mad in my dream trying to protect them and stop them from falling out, but they always do. Ive heard having dreams of losing your teeth is a fear of loss of control of some part of your life. Dunno whether i beleive this or not.
I also ALWAYS have nightmares of drowning, probably to do with my big fear of water. It sucks.

Had a dream 2 nights ago that i was married to this guy i know. We were so happy in the dream. It was pretty weird. I wonder if it means anything!

Heh - I always found that freestyle kick got me of the ground easiest, then I could just "sit" in the sky using the good old egg beater kick. If I wanted to move then I'd just pound off on any stroke at all :)

Also - I remember that once, just once, I woke up "in" my dream. That is to say, I realised that I was dreaming. To prove to myself that I was in fact dreaming and could make anything happen at all, I decided not to make an army of topless female athletes appear before my eyes, but to turn my right hand in a f*cking machete. Yes, a massive bloody knife.

It gave me such a fright that I actually did wake up. Never forgave myself for that one.

I said this in a previous post but I used to get that teeth dream and then I found out that I was actually grinding them in my sleep - i was getting really bad ear/head/tooth aches..anyhoos now i have to wear this guard/retainer to stop me doing any damage and the guard has huge dents in it from where I grinded it instead of my teeth...go to the dentist if you get that dream!!
Anyhoos I don't think I have many reacurring dreams? I used to dream that there was all kinds of ghosts/weird things in my grannys house and I was always kind of afriad there when I was awake...I ususally dream that i'm freaking out a people eg - in work who i'd usualy bite my tongue with!! Oh and a few times I dreamt that my fish(who used to live in a tank in my room b4 i sold them to a boardsie) where "swimming" in air around my room!!

EDIT - oh i jst remembered another - I've dreamt a few times that I'm singing along to music - I think I've actually been singing in my sleep but nobody in the house says they heard me!!

I get the teeth falling out dream, too, and yes, I also grit my teeth in my sleep. I always assumed the two were related.

One I can remember from the past was just the weirdest thing at the time and only later did I understand the meaning

Basically I was on a bus and and the journey seemed to go on forever, the bus driver wouldn't stop the bus when I pressed the bell and I saw all the stops going by. I didn't recognise any of the places we passed by or the stops, apart from one.. The bus stop outside the place where I worked at the time. I shouted "STOP, I work here, let me out" and this time the bus driver did stop but the bus overturned and that's when I woke up.

Go to the dentist to be sure!! I used to get really bad pains in my jaw and I thought it was cos of my wisdom teeth cos the bottom ones were impacted - half stuck under my jaw bone..Anyhoos i went to the specialist guy and as he was examing my teeth (I had to get the wisdoms out) he told me that I was grinding them and to go to the dentist...When I went back to the dentist he took impressions for the guard. The guard is seriously worn away - that could have been my teeth!! It's called bruxism.. Also if you DO get a guard - don't try and tighten it yourself - thats how i snapped my first one!

i ahve to get the weirdest dreams ever. they always involve at some point my life being in danger. a couple of times i died but woke up at the moment i die. twice i was killed in a train wreck and once when the doneraile walk in tramore fell into the sea and i was eaten by giant whales that had cows heads.

i really hate the ones where your naked in a public place or naked on top of something high like a church.

Teeth falling out = sexual frustration, so I'm told. It relates to confidence and virility. I used to get that a lot (but not lately *cough*) and 'leaving the house without shoes' ones. Flying is a good one, indicates you're achieving your goals.

Had one featuring the Pope a couple of nights ago. He fell over and banged his head and I gave him first aid while he said some interesting stuff to me. At least I didn't ride him or something.

The chinese believe that the 'tooth falling out' dream means somebody close to you is going to die.

Freaks me out on occasions when I have that dream....
