AMD Sempron "Safe" Operating/Idle Temps

    Lo Folks,

My girlfriend bought herself a pc from elara, you know the small cheap, AMD 2800 sempron systems. All was grand for a week or two until recently it started beeping. warning of high temperatures. Basically the machine has only the one fan, the heatsink and isnt being used too much, bit of gaming and photo editing. The settings on the temperature alarm seemed too low for an idle processor for me, anything over 30 degrees was deemed too hot. I set the idle process temp for around 35-36 degrees any more and then warn or kick on another fan.

Any thoughts? Anyone know the proper temperatures for an idle sempron?

    Cheers
