Think I seen something in Easons on O'Connell street about garda tests and theory and stuff like that. Downstairs, near the TEFL stuff if I recall rightly. Try going to www.buy4now.ie and browsing the easons site for garda books etc.
I'd do it for you but I don't have much in the way of respect for garda so.....

Not to sure what test you mean so maybe I can outline some of the test's you do on the road to becoming a garda.

The basic IQ/ Reasoning text, has 3 parts:

    Basic IQ test

    Pattern and image association.

    Hypothethical Situation test.

All of which are multiple choice.

    Garda interview and written test:

45 minute interview with 4 people, 2 members of the garda and 2 civil servants.

Written test, in which you must outline how you would deal with a certain situation and file a report on it. They are looking for your skills of how you deal with certain situations, grammar, literacy and presentation of information in a clear concise manner. They outline how you should file your report in documentation before you start the written exam. You have 30 minutes to do it.

If you want me to expand on any of the following area's or I totally missed your question, please clarify for me and I would be happy to answer more questions.

There was a thread on after hours before, here

Has some good info you may need. Some of this should be stickied in the motor forum anyways, methinks.

EDIT: whoops, you meant a different test. Well some of the info above might be useful!
