    Hi all,

I just need some urgent help regarding glue!

I broke a small metal bar around an inch long and 3mm wide. Kind of like a nail shape. It's made out of some sort of metal (metalic) and I think it's zinc alloy. Anyway, It's a very important part that I just broke it and I don't know how to fix it

What Im asking is, Do u know of any really strong glues that would fix it????

And where would I get It?

I can't get a replacment as the part replacement form is in japanese.... so my only hope is to use glue.

Perhaps someone might know of a place in Dublin I can go to get an exact copy made? Some metal smith maybe?

Please Help - Its extremely importment I get the piece working aotherwise the whole 300 euro Kit is ruined. :(

You might get replies if you tell us what this bar/kit is?

Suggest trying the model shop on Capel Street - they do all the Prince August alloy replacement parts. There is also a model shop on Hawkins Street, behind the Screen cinema on the corner, that does kit parts- that would be another possible place to try (they have a much bigger branch in Dunlaoghaire that carries a lot more in the way of model parts- their phone number is 01-2845855- might be an idea to give them a call, even if they do not have the part you are looking for- they will probably be able to point you in the right direction).

Curious as to why you describe it as "about an inch long" and 3mm wide. Can you only be accurate in one dimension (and measurement system) at a time? :D

Not necessarily- I have similar dimensions on parts in tiny 2-stroke engines. Take your point about the mixture of metric and imperial measurements though! :)

Thank you all for your help :)

I'm going go in and check out Marks Models on Hawkins St and The Model Shop also. As for JB Weld I'll go over and check in the Motorway Store this morning and give it a try.

As for what the Model Kit is. Its an all steel Blank Firing Walther P.38. I just got it sent over from the UK and it started jamming. Anyway I eventually fixed trhe jamming problem but caused the broken metal bar in the process....

Again your help is much appreciated - Thank you!
