I recently got a new lappy with XP home and SP2. I have a licensed copy of windows XP pro and want to upgrade the home OS to XP pro. However I cant ugrade the OS because the edition of XP pro only has SP1 on it and when I try to upgrade the OS a message comes up saying I cant upgrade because its a previous version of windows. Is there a way to incorporate SP2 into my version of XP pro and create a new setup disk or is there another way to get it without having to go out and buy a new copy?

Either search boards or google for "slipstreaming".

Yeah, I got it myself off google. Handy Program it allows you to customise an up to date version of your setup disk. Can add hotfixes and new drivers to my ISO File. Sweet! :)

    third vote for nlite.

it's great and you can even slipstream your raid drivers on too to make an unintended install of XP
