90s Cartoon

Myself and a few mates were talking in college the other day about old kids programmes we used to watch back in the day. There is one cartoon that used to be on The Den back in the early-mid90s, we all remember it but none of us know the name and its annoying the hell outta me coz I dont know it.

Anyway it was about these babies who lived in a city and they went around in normal clothes and stuff but only wore nappies, like they had no trousers or anything just nappies. They all had jobs and all drank bottles of milk when they went to a bar and there was this evil dude in a blimp thingy that had a cloud surrounding it and he had these baby gangsters as helpers and stuff and the jail for them was like a play pen or something. They used to show it in English when it started but it ended up being dubbed in Irish. Does anyone know the name of it????

    Thanks

Hehe, we always have conversations like this in college.

Garfield and Friends (Greenacres etc) - best program ever
    Heman
    Masters of the universe
    Snoopy
Bosco (can be bought on video from RTE - check out aertel)
    Flintstones
    Old skool Simpsons
    Captain Planet
    Bulai
    Tir na heoige
    Superted
    Dangermouse
    Inspector Gadget
    Carebears

I'll think of more during the course of this day, I'm sure.

Whenever theres a fight in Ulysses 31 the music is deadly. All those programs were brilliant, programs like:
    M.A.S.K.
    Thundercats.
    Ulysses 31.
Jayce and the Wheel Warriors (look at Ulysses and then look at Jayces dad in the start sequence, then look at a picture of Jesus- !)
    G.I Joe.
    Transformers.

Now look at kids tv-they have to collect something in every single one of them-Yu Gi Oh etc-what ****e they have to watch.

    Best. Cartoon. Ever.

Anything that can tie cool space crap to greek mythology and dodgy french-canadian characters is great in my book.

While we're on the subject of ancient kid's shows, does anyone recall one ITV used to show waaay back called Star Fleet (not trekkie related)? Puppet/animatronic/manga type show...

Ulysses 31 is rerun on Fox Kids (Jetix?).

I'd like reruns of The Mysterious Cities of Gold, and Once Upon A Time... Life :)

All made by the same people.

Ulysses was brilliant but probably too dark and dense for kids - great music though especially the bits they played for the bad guys.

Agreed. I got the series on DVD there and I was amazed at how dark it was at times - really miserable stuff. Often it would end with the planet/person they met being devestated and Ulysses making a thin promise they'd get home. Hell one episode had someone stuck in eternal damnation because he realized his errors too late...

The music sticks in my head an awful lot too, from the music you mentioned with the bad guys to the haunting flute Umi played when Ulysses faced the siren.
