Not sure whether this should go in the Broadband or Computers forum.

Am trying to install Broadband on my girlfriend's old computer (for her father). But it only has Windows 98.

Have hooked up the modem... but when i connect the USB cable, it prompts me to install a 'USB NET CARD' and i can't find any drivers for it on the computer and the Windows 98 Setup disc is long gone!

Anybody have any links to drivers for this, or info on how to install it successfully?

just remember some USB devices only work with windows 98 SE (Second Edition) - right click my computer and into properties to see which version of win98 you have.
the driver should be on the disk that came with the modem, it won't be on the 98 CD since they didn't have that model back in 1997 when they stopped adding drivers to 98.

It may ask you for TCP/IP (network) files from the windows 98 CD though
those files might just be in the c:\windows\options\cab folder

You can get the Netopia USB Drivers and all other eircom related drivers from the following site
