    Hi,
My friend has Eircom broadband, he has the eircom modem and all that. I got wireless sorted in my house so I gave him my UTV PRESITIGE 630 ZyXel modem.

His pc is in his kitchen is connected with the eircom modem and he has a laptop upstairs.

Can he bring the line upstairs and use my utv modem to be online in his room at the same time as being online downstairs?

Is it possible to even be online with eircom using the utv modem? thanks!

why not just share the connection? Even if the machine downstairs or upstairs doesn't have wireless you could still just run a crossover cable between the 2 machines using the one connected as your network server, very easy to do, crossover cable will cost next to nothing too, just get it made up in a electronics shop or by a mate if you have one who works in electronics/networking.

You cant plug in 2 Modems into one fone line. Just share the connection like damoken said. Just need a hub + 2 network cables and youre set.
