    Hi

Evertime I start pc comes up with Network cable unplugged

go into network connections and there are 3 options

    Dial up, which I use

    Lan or High Spped Internet
    Local Area connection
    1394 connection

    Network Bridge

When I try to disable the Local area netwok or 1394 it comes up with

It is not possible to disable the connection at this time. The connection maybe uisng one or more protocols that do not support Plug-and-play, or it may have been initiated by another user or the system account

When I try to disable Netork Bridge it comes up with
It is not possibe to disconnect at this time The connection is currently busy with a connnect or disconnect problem

How do I get rid of these as I dont use them and i keep gettting them as an icon in the windows tray

    Cheers

system properties and disable the network card if you never use it

or in control panel you could go into the network and into the properties and untick the box to show the icon.

(am guessing you are using windows/xp - but don't know if home or pro or if you are using classic view or not so answer has to be a bit vague)

I've had this problem ever since I installed SP2. There is no netwrok card even installed in my comp so this is what probably causes it for me...

Regarding the Network Bridge I'm not sure if this will work but try it anyway.

Go to Device Manager (Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager). Now choose View and select "Show hidden devices". Now expand the Network Adapters section and uninstall the "MAC Bridge Miniport" device.
