Does anybody have any experience of getting their hair cut on a model night? Should they be trusted or am i better off to pay full price?

It depends on what year the hairdresser is in I think anyway. Ive gotten my hair high lighted and dyed twice and it was absolutely perfect. It was a friend of a friend who did it, but id never met her. Its up to you but usyally ur grand with someone whos nearly finished their training

    Best of luck ;)

I've done this a few times, and I've always been pleased with the results. Last time D'Arcys in Cork did it for E10 and the guy gave me an excellent cut. exactly what I wanted. His supervisor checked in loads of times during it, and would show him what to do. The only problem with this is the length of time it takes as the trainees are slow and cautious.

It does take a while yeah, but as you said the trainees are constantly checked!

i'd go with Toni and Guy definitely. Had a bad experience with Peter Marks and an idiot trainee,so never go there again.

I had long blonde hair this around this time last year and suddenly decided i wanted a short trendy look so booked into T&G. A trainee in Toni and Guy who was doing her finals said she'd cut and colour it for free if i'd get it cut into a trendy bob and dye it really dark..I was up for anything so had it done. The result was brill, very different to what i'd done before, my own dad was talking to me at a party and he didnt realise it was me...no one recognised me. Definitely would recommend goin to them, very good. Expensive but worth it

I got my hair cut in Toni and Guy by one of the trainees a couple of times. It came out really well, a short choppy look nothing like I'd had before. It took about 3 hrs though so have a free morning or afternoon to do it in.
