budget accomodation in copenahgen

anyone been to copenhage that could recommend somewhere cheap that i can book in advance
whether its a room to rent , hostel or campsite im interested.
theres a group going, not sure how many yet,
at least 4 max about 8-10

I was there once and would highly recomend you book in advance. We decided it was a good idea to just turn up (as was our fashion at the time) and see what happens. Arrived at the train station, crossed the road and you can't miss the tourist office accross the road - all very simple until we got inside and found a massive queue in there ahead of us already being told everything is booked up - campsite may have been an option though...

...We ended up staying in a nightclub til about 6 in the morning then getting a train to Sweden to find a hostel - which actually worked

Copenhagen is a pretty expensive city.

For my recent Interrail extravaganza, I did all hostel booking through Hostel World and found it pretty good. They have nice little availabilty charts for places and a full feedback/rating system.
