I want to bring my girlfriend on the dublin bus ghost tour as suggested in another thread but I have no idea how to book or if you can just show up to it.

Can book it online or do you have to ring up or something??

    Any help much appreciated

Ring the dublin tourist office they will have the details.

I'm assuming the best and easist way to get tickets would be to probably go to the Dublin Bus office on O'Connell Street. They should be able to help you in there.

I went on it a few years ago and we were told to just buy our tickets on the Bus when we went into the head office on OConnel St.

A friend of mine tried to book them before but they were booked out for a few weeks in advance... Curious to do it myself, what did you think of it FX?

Is this thing any good or is it really bad - Typical Irish thing would make me cringe.

When I went on it it wasn't booked out and there were plenty of seats left. Are you sure it is booked out weeks in advance? I can't see that many Irish people interested in it to book it out. I found it quite enjoyable and had a good time on it and would recommend it to others.

I just rang them, you can only book in the office, not over the phone. They also told me, "Sometimes it does be booked out so it does dya know what I mean"

I went on it 2 years ago, I was alone and I lucked out they had 1 seat available. They told me that normally you have to book ahead but since I was alone and they had a seat ;)

It was ok, I wouldnt do it again but it was an interesting way to spend a couple hours. They basically drive around town and stop at places that is said to be home to a ghost or interesting story of how someone famous died. The tour guide is pretty good, humourous.

Then they stop at a cemetary and take you through and tell you a story about someone buried there and you walk around and get back on the bus.
I think they stop 1 other place but I cant remember now, 2 years ago.

It is interesting, you learn a few things anyway. I would suggest it atleast once for someone who is into that sort of thing. It is an experience anyway :)
