    Age group? Number of people?

Do you want somewhere that you can sit around and chat, and maybe head upstairs to boogie, or a club-style thing where all you do is boogie?

Isolde's Tower, just off Parliament St gets my vote.

The Turks head, which is just across the road from isoldes tower would also fit into this category... its a bit nicer than isoldes tower

D2 on Parnell Street, Bar and (well heated) Beer Garden upstairs, nightclub downstairs. It's usually fairly commercial music wise playing some chart stuff and some oldies guaranteed to get a full dance floor. The pints are decent enough and there's a BBQ out the back where you can get hot-dogs and burgers and stuff to keep the night going!

Has the price of drink in the Turks head gone down since I last visited the place.... Last time I was there I almost told them where to shove the pint when I was told the cost.

The Metropolitan is good too, would recommend that.

Also, D2, but it can be frequented by that D4 Rugger Collar Up kinda thing, that I dont like so much, but each to their own and all that.

The Village on Camden Street is fairly good, and I was in there last Saturday night, very good music mix, not a lot of seats though.

McGowan's in Phibsborough is a bit commercial.

Zanzibar, Knightsbridge, Coyote, The George all fairly good if you want commercial(chart R'n'B etc) kinda music.

Pravda for the more indie-rock scene.

    Oh, and another thing.

A friend of mine has tables reserved in Redz for Saturday night for her 21st

So that could be an option, although I've never been, so couldn't possibly give an opinion.

Metropoliton is Soulcandy on Friday nights I think...funky house. I've never been but I think they have a regular crowd who are into their music.

    I'd say Turks Head.

Redz seats are probably those 3+ tables that are on the tiny ground floor at the entrance?! Maybe not but wouldn't surprise me.

One thing about the Turks Head though, it can get extremely warm.

A friend passed out in there one time too because of it.

Well the one and only time that i was in the turks head you couldnt move because if you did you would get felt up by some below average muppet, which can get extremely annoying!!!and kind of upsetting and the final straw was when some drunkn boy pissed in the corner of the dance floor in full view of everyone and he wasnt even thrown out!!!!!!!
