PS2 Format Disk message

    Hi All,

    I recently brought a PS2 and while loading Tiger Woods 2005 I received a 'Format Disk' error. I have tried other games and have the same problem.
    Unfortunately I threw out my reciept, so no refund. Has anybody seen this before? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    is it saying "Insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 Format Disc" ?
    in which case either your drive is screwed, drop it at all?
    or the games are copied.

    if the games arent copied and you dont have a receipt it should still be under a sony wartranty
    check the back of any ps2 game manual for the sony number
