Does anyone know anywhere in dublin that sell graphics cards. I'm looking for a high end Geforce 6800 and Komplett and peats are out of stock. If you have the contact details of the shop it would be a help too. Thanks!

There's IT Direct on Parliament Street in town.
Handy if you absolutely have to have it today and don't mind paying highstreet prices.

PS. You lucky bastard :D Wish I had that kind of money to splurge with, I'm still looking at a cheapo 6600 :(

I 2nd that. Their prices aren't that bad though. You might want to ring up as their website is very unreliable with regards stock and prices

    Yeah, sad but true.
Heh, you could open a PC shop out of your garage, buy all your stock from komplett and still undercut most Dublin retailers.

Cheers for all the help guys, I ordered it from Dabs.co.uk and it should be delivered early next week which given the difference in prices I was quoted in Dublin is well worth the wait.

Anyway I'll let you know how reliable Dabs are but so far so good. It does make you question how irish businesses can get away with charging an extra 100€ in some cases over their English counterparts, and thats not just restricted to stores, some of the interenet suppliers are charging well over the odds too. Rip-off Ireland indeed!

I have to say though Komplett where very accommodating. I'd def deal with them again.

    Again Thanks

Be very wary when buying your 6800GT as there are several different version of that card.

Just wanted to say that I bought my GFX card off DABS and the service was excellent. Delivered in less than a week and well packaged.
The prices were also way cheaper than anywhere I checked here. And the P&P was only about £5 sterling!

You'll find most highstreet stores charge lots more then their online rivals.

The simple reason is that they aren't in the same market. Some people value some advice in the shop, the after sales service, and the ease of execution on the warrenty.

The bottom line is, if you shop online and things go wrong you can end up ****ed. If you shop in a highstreet shop and things go wrong, you can call in and speak to the manager...

Yeah so I noticed, I got the one I was looking for though, with a little help from the possie of this forum.

Dabs have sent it out already and it should be here middle of next week, and all for only £5 delivery. Can't say anything wrong about that!
