depends where you live. there's 2 or 3 of them in dundrum. usually glad to take the stuff. not 100% sure about the clothes, but you could always ring and ask a few. there's some on georges street too if I'm not mistaken

    Theres one on Capel St.
2 on Georges St *Please don't donate to Oxfam as they are charging an excessive amount for everything!!*
4 on Wexford St. I highly recommend Age Concern. (My charity of choice)

I give to the Lifeboat shop in Phibsborough - but then as a diver I may need them one day, but hope never to have to.

There's a SVdeP shop in Finglas

Actually look in the Golden pages, they've a list, and you might find one closer to you

Dont Get Me Wrong I Get The Bin Bags Thro My Door And I Fill Them With Clothes For Charity.. But Babys Clothes Are Expensive..so If You Could Sell A Bag Of Clothes For €20 Buy The Child A New Outfit And Donate A Couple Of Quid To Oxfam..(the Reason I Dont Sell My Clothes On Is Adult Clothing Is Alot More Complicated Eg Style And Size And Hard To Sell Without Seeing, Babys Clothes Are Basic And Babys Look Good In All The Right Month Sizes)

Just on an aside I've been volunteering with Oxfam for the past few weeks, and they've got stuff coming out of their ears at the moment.

Vast quanties are however cheap torn broken crap that they'll have to dispose of, and thanks to the new charges costs a fortune (€2000 in the last six months) that could build about a dozen wells, or stock a small hosiptial.

Take a long hard look at what you're donating to charity and ask yourself honestly is it worth anything? Cause if it's not you'll be hurting the charity; rather than helping.

Dub13 good quality baby clothes would be appreicated, but most oxfam shops are out the door at the moment, which is a shame, because so much of the clothes are either dirty torn or unsaleable and therefore must be ragged.

That would be fantastic a good cleaning and those would be perfect.

Sorry if I sound fantical about this it's just upseting

Over the past few weeks we've had conversations such as

"I want Oxfam to fly me over so I can help"

"right do you have an appicable skills, like medicine or engineering or nutrition?

"NO, but I want to help thats enough"

    or

" I have these coats that I want to go to sri lankia"

What follows is a fifteen minute conversation about how much the donation is appreicated, the nature of equatoiral climate, how the money raised from the sale of said coats would be more valuable, the cost and expense of international transport"

    Pause

"I want the coats to go over"
