Hey people! Media player is pissing me off with its audio playback functionality(audio library is cumbersome and it won't queue songs properly for me)

What music programs do u recommend! something that ain't to much of a memory hog and will play in the background? :)

Winamp or iTunes would be the major ones.
    [EDIT]
Would not recommend MusicMatch if you got a large collection.(very slow Search/update Tags)

I said i'd reply to ALL your threads for d laff!

I got windows XP with media centre built in. Its D job! I need to get a remote control for it now and i'll be Mr. Swankypants!!
The only thing that annoyed me about Windows media player was that i couldn't rip songs from cds to MP3 format, only WMA. But then i came across THIS page.

After a bit of registry editing i was able to create MP3s galore.

I'm a winamp man myself, always have been. I especially love the minimalistic mode!

Why not just use CD-EX to rip to mp3?

I like the newest media player but my fav is winamp 2, really quick and will take any amount of codecs

WMP 10 rips to MP3 as standard. the only thing I don't like about that (along with v.9) is that if your wave/mp3 volume is down low and you free skip to anoth point in the song / movie the volume will crank itself up to the last. (but that might just be a problem with my audigy driver)
