    Other than that, we'll need to know the model number. I wouldn't imagine it being anything less than 1GB for a modern machine though...

    It should say in the manual if you have it. Alternatively, SiSoftware's Sandra tells you A LOT of stuff about your hardware, including the max. RAM at "Mainboard Information" -> "Memory Controller" -> "Maximum Installable Memory".
