I seem to have a USB 1.0 port on my pc (Dell).

I was wondering how would I go about setting up a USB 2.0 port?

I figure this could be a little messy seeing as its connected to the motherboard. I've no prob opening her up but I tend to stay away from that.

just need to add in a pci usb 2.0 card,
installing a pci card is easy enough if your ok with opening your case, just power down, open the case, pop the pci slot in its place, screw in the holding screw, replace the case and power up.
just dont mess with anything else while the case is open if you dont know what your doing and make sure to ground yourself by touching a metal part of the case while touching any components, this will prevent a static discharge from building up, although it rarely happens.

if your running windows xp, it'll auto-detect most cards, if it doesnt, its just a matter of installing the driver that came with the pci card.

heres one from maplin if your in dublin
