    hi all,

doing research for my friend & her man who're heading to amsterdam for 5 nights in march.

has anyone got any recommendations for apartments / hotels in amsterdam - doesn't have to be complete luxury but somewhere nice enough, central enough and not too expensive?

    thanks a mill
    :)

(sorry if this has been posted before but i've gone back through old threads & couldnt find anything)

Accomodation is generally expensive in Amsterdam. I'm not sure about a couple, but for a few lads I would recomend the Botel (hotel on a boat). Good location (near central station and red light) and reasonable price. Also 24hr porn piped to your TV. The website is something like www.botel.nl

A cheaper option would be a hostel but I tend to avoid these, although I believe the Bulldog Hostel which is in the red light district is good and has private rooms.

    Try the
Greenhouse Effect Hotel / Coffeeshop which is near central stn / RLD and
some good coffeeshops www.greenhouse-effect.nl or hostelworld.com the list hostels,b+b,guest houses and hotels.. hope this helps.
