My hosting is through them too - and my site is still up.........time to check the backups methinks :/

Though tbh,I am not too surprised. I have had my fair share of problems with them, and found them to be painfully slow for any support issues. I definitely would not have been renewing with them.

It looks like they were resellers of some US hosting company and either went out of business or didn't pay their bills.

Sounds painfully familiar - my site was taken down by the hosters (eHostPro) and he didnt even have the gumption to tell me about the warnings that had been issued a couple of weeks prior to that (spammers were using an exploit, in case you are interested....nothing too dodgy). If I had known about it, I could have resolved the issue in five minutes. Strangely enough, I was able to contact him once I sent a snotty email to eHostPro. And he still hasn't registered MY domain in MY name after 18 months  - and this is after countless emails asking him to do so.

powerhousedan - if you paid via paypal you can request a refund directly from paypal. If they haven't supplied the service then Paypal will refund you (or at least they should do anyway)
