Any problems with acernotebooks.co.uk???

    Has anyone ever had any problem with acernotebooks.co.uk?

    They appear to get recommended alot on boards.ie but I seem to remember reading something about having difficulty with them accepting Irish credit cards.

    They don't take them at all. Both myself and a friend tried to buy machines off them before Christmas, and they turned down each of our cards (AIB and PermanentTSB registered respectively). You should also beware that on both occasions, our email servers took the emails informing us that the cards had been rejected as spam, and dumped it in the approporiate folder.

    They also have a pretty lousy online support, I had to email them to cancel the order as there is no provision to cancel or alter orders through a form on their website.

    Are www.rlsupplies.co.uk any better? I might also check out Jaguar Computer System....

    My aforementioned friend eventually got his new lappy from Insight, who have an Acer store. They're slightly more limited in range than the official site, but you might find what you're looking for.

    I found the one I'm looking for on Insight - shipping isn't too bad either - UK£25 for Express/2 day delivery
