Anyone got any good ideas for a slightly different date for this Sunday night? Basically I'm looking to do something a bit different than the usual cinema/pub/meal ideas... Went to Funderland on our last date and that went down well so I'd like to try something else a little off-kilter...

When you're not so obsessed with your image that you can have fun doing childish things, why?

Methinks this should nearly be a sticky, or something about fun places to take a date should be, cos I've only been posting here awhile and I've noticed 3 seperate threads about it!

    Ya could try Bowling...

I was one of the biggest children when I went to Disneyland last month, just Funderland is a hole filled with scum which will probably cost you more then flying over to Paris and actually going to Diseyland for the day. Funderland is just a disgrace.

Micky D's. But both herself and yourself a happy meal then take her toy and have a fight to the death between the two toys on her lap. Chicks dig that, they really do

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,474 ✭✭✭✭Sleepy

Sure there's loads of Scumbags in Funderland, but at this stage what part of Dublin isn't infested with them? Besides it was a bit of a trip down memory lane for me because I was a carnie in a past life...

Myth, you're right, these topics do come up a lot on boards but then again, every week sees different events on around town... one off concerts, shows etc. That's kinda what I had in mind...

If you like you could go Ice skating if it's still open, then afterwards head for some hot coco ;) girls really love that sort of stuff. You know, you would be snuggling and stuff cos you'd be keepin her warm. Then if you like you could either head home and get a dvd, or whatever.. Try it man, it's a dead-cert! ;)

I think going to a comedy gig would be good. There's one on Sunday in Vicar st in aid of the tsunami but I'm not sure if there are any tickets left. Failing that there's always a small gig on in Whelan's or The Village. Have a look in the Entertainment Guide.

I like going out to things like that on a date esp if they're organised by my boyfriend it looks like some thought has been given to the whole thing.

Smithfield is closed :( I think the other one in the RDS is closed also. I don't get it, the weather hasn't gotten any warmer, it's definitly colder now than when they opened in November.

www.entertainment.ie is a great site for looking up whats going on in the smaller venues and at the same time can check cinema and tv times, maybe something here will catch your fancy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,474 ✭✭✭✭Sleepy

Had a look at most of those alright, the ghost bus has to be booked ages in advance, the ice skating is over, the comedy gig for asia is sold out and there's no gigs on that take my fancy... :o(

Ten pin bowling ain't a bad idea for a bit of a laugh, it's a definite plan B.

treat her to leftover pizza and porn

Why don't you go for a meal and then go to a gig or somesuch?

Forget about doing something different for the 2nd date, ... 1st date good impression, nice idea...

2nd date get down to business, lube her up (drink) and throw it in (food into the belly)

go to the panto!!Beauty and the Beast..
The line up includes, Alan Hughes, of TV3 fame, reprising his role as Sammy Sausages and the return of Joe Conlan in the guise of Buffy. Also on the bill are the familiar faces of Brenda Donohue, Simon Delaney, Louise Loughman, Jonathan McCrea and You're a Star boy band Final 4, and Sinead Mulvey and Shane Morgan will play Beauty and the Beast. Fortunately, for parents and guardians, David Hayes (Riverdance’s Musical Director) and comedy writer Karl Broderick are at the helm.
be a kid!!! oh and Sunday is the last day...

Take her to see that Saughran play, its meant to be really good, honestly!

Just with regard the RDS Xmas on Ice, it is open until the 16th.

Bring her to the Young Scientist's Exhibition. On this week. Once she samples the Senior Level Mathematical projects she'll be randy as Jack Russell on Viagra. Don't wear a belt. It'll save time.

Or there is also the option of some kind of sport. Just find one you are equally crap at. Tennis, Badminton, Squash or Swimming are usually safe enough bets. Just to do something different. Plus the exerceise will do you (plural) good.

Well ven0m, I think we've all been burned in the past. The trick is to remember that past events that have no relevance to future ones can't affect them. If 'Girl A' has historically been a b:tch, why should 'Girl B' suffer?
