mirror subscription card/ irish channels not available what to do

hi all,

finally installed my second digibox upstairs after 2 months!! and now i have dilema of sorts

downstairs i have sky plus and a second digibox with uk freeview so everything sorted. upstairs different story, it appears i have a confused card no irish channels available and after multiple calls to sky and waiting 48 hours for signal to come through etc still none they reckon card needs to be replaced but apperently they will try everything rather than do this. then i remembered sticky on this topic that i never bothered reading before

so after reading this hey presto i tune in the uk stations itv,ch4,ch5 etc but it is a bit of a pain accessing them as they are not listed on the epg much easier to go check whats on downstairs and swap cards around upstair if needed. my question is should i ring sky and demand a new card? what will happen to other card will uk stations remain on it if so a free uk card for me then or will they wipe the card altogether :mad: ?

It is a confused card as per sticky, yes, so if the signal has failed twice or more, then they'd really have to send you a new card. They may send a signal to disable the existing card, but if no signal hasnt gone through before, I doubt it will again.

I Had The Same Problem In December It Took Nearly 4 Days For The Irish Channels To Come Through.sky Will Do Nothing They Told Me I Was Not Paying For The Irish Channels They Are Free.

Since when are irish channels free. I dont call paying 28.50 amonth free.
