Question about Ryan Air booking

    Hi,

Made a booking tonight for myself then noticed that I'd made a typo in my name - I put in a b instead of an n. :o Will Ryan Air change this for me free of charge seeing as it's not a complete name change does anyone know? I've a feeling I'd get away with it cos I have a page printed with the credit card details and my name, so it's pretty obvious it's a typo.

What do ye think? I don't want some jobsworth at the Ryan Air desk turning me away when I go to check in.

    Thanks.

God they'd make a fortune if that was the case, although come to think of it thats probably why they want everybody to book via the net.

iirc you can change up to 3 letters [remove/add/replace] for free on ryanair bookings

Had the same problem with one of the lads in work before Christmas.

Rang Ryanair, gave them the details and they changed the name and sent out a confirmation e-mail. Couldn't have been nicer about it.

Don't give up whatever they say ! - seems they have different rules depending on who answers the phone !!

My Wife's mother was travelling just before Christmas & the tickets were booked for her. Exactly the same problem - hit the b key instead of the n. Rang Ryanair & was told that there would be a fee associated with it as per their website:

There is a name change fee of GBP45.00/EUR65 (or local currency equivalent) per person.

Anyways, rang back, told the same, rang again & they changed it without question....

Well the clever thing would be to try and get it changed before you arrive at check in.... you made the mistake... fix it asap or they will probably charge you. Any time I've dealt with them they've been fine. Also, learn how to type....

I have flown Ryanair before and have had one letter wrong in my name. They didnt even notice at check in and neither did I until I was throwing the confirmation away!

I travelled from Dublin to texas, 2 changes of flight on tickets that had the wrong spelling of my surname, Didn't get questioned at any stage why my passport and ticket didn't match.

Sorry for the delay replying, boards.ie is blocked at work (execpt for one pc) so I tend to post and then not reply for ages.

Anyway I rang the customer service no. for Ryan Air, and they changed my booking free of charge. They were very efficient, surprisingly enough!

    Thanks for the replies :)
