If you did how was it for you?!
I flew to Manchester on Sat morning - the worst of the storm that hit Friday evening seemed to have left Ireland but guess where it had headed??
The approach and landing into Manchester was the most turbulent I have ever experienced - buffeted all over the place with some sudden drops - not really sure how we landed but the pilot got a spontaneous round of applause from the passengers!
Then coming back on Sunday eveing from Liverpool - although we left late - seemed to be doing OK in the journey, not too bumpy - then we started doing the holding circles over the irish sea - pilot came on to say that the winds were over the legal limit to even attempt a landing and all planes were being held to see if a break came in the winds! We would circle for max of 40 mins before being diverted to Belfast. After a few more turns he came back to say that we were going for the landing.......another stomach churner! Really topsy-turvy.
I see that other planes did divert to Belfast and Shannon - what time would these folks have got back to Dublin - did they provide buses or taxis?

A bus from Shannon to Dublin would take about 3 and a half hours.
