Although not all strictly "emergency" stuff, and in no particular order ...

    Tow rope
    Fire extinguisher
    Warning triangle
First-aid kit (and the knowledge to use it!)
    Spare bulb set
    Torch (+ 12V powered lamp)
    Disposable camera
Various ice scrapers and snow removal brush

One would presume to take pictures if ever involved in an accident.

Did'nt we have this topic last year? My boot is full of stuff some of which is useful in an emergency (jump leads, warning triangle, WD40, spanners, screwdrivers, jubillee clips, brake fluid, rad sealer etc) my torch bulb has blown so I will get one tomorrow (thanks for the reminder!) I have a packet of band-aid, not sure if that would be much good in a crash :D

    Mike.

Swiss army knife > always in my pocket, has saved my ass countless times

in my bag/under the seat on the bike
    Head Torch
Tyre plugs +2 Co2 canisters for puncture repair
    Pressure gauge
OEM Bike toolkit + extra allen keys and a few small spanners
    Cable ties
    epoxy resin kit
rain gear + high vis vest thingy
    sometimes a can of wd40

generally in bag too, even before i had the motorbike:
    clean dry socks+jocks
    Digital camera,
    512Mb usb key,
Cd folder with essential disks, winxp/win2k/hirens/anti spyware suite
    Aspirin, gaviscon, 5htp, iodine

I must get some bandages to throw in there too, as cold clumsy hands trying to effect repairs on dark rainy nights usually end up with scraped knuckles or misc. annoying cuts
