    i'm thinking of upgrading my pc, but would like to get an idea if it would be easy to sell parts of my pc, and how much people are willing to pay.

    i'm keeping some of the parts to transfer to the new pc,
    so what i'll be selling is this:

    ======================

    shuttle sb75g2
    -upgraded psu fans 40mm x 2 to make quieter
    -upgraded 80mm ice fan to make quieter

    intel northwood socket478 2.8ghz
    -never overclocked

    sapphire radeon 9600xt 128mb
    -upgraded fan/hs to iceberq to make quieter, speed controlled
    -never overclocked

    ======================

    about €450
    what do ye think?
    anyone interested?

    Seems ok, but dear. I reckon you need to add another component to make it worthwhile. Thats my 2cent.

    what do you mean add another component?
    how about an extra screw and a piece of sellotape?

    do you think i should aim for a lower price?

    Lets put it this way you can buy a fully working system with monitor, OS, warranty, without the gfx and not a SFF for about 500-600. I'm not saying its not worth what you are asking, but you'll find it hard to sell.

    Do you think selotape would help? :) Must be in a bad way...

    It would be pretty difficut to sell an incomplete PC. I mean you'd probably get 600 for the thing if you included all the parts but with only some of the parts you could be looking at half of that. :(

    think of it as a barebones system;
    waiting for a hard drive, optical drive and ram.

    this is a class system based on the 875 chipset with a brilliant cpu heatsink.
    can be used as a gaming pc, office pc or media pc.

    keep the advice coming.
    how about €380

    i could throw in an 80gb hard drive, but it's a bit old, and very noisy, so ruins the quietness of the shuttle.

    512mb 3200 memory can be picked up new for €65,
    a dvd/cdr combo drive can be had for €40 new,
    and an 80gb hard drive is €56 new.
    TOTAL €161

    this would then be a complete working system.

    I'd pay 300-350 for that.

    if i upgrade, i'll build the new system, transfer files, then sell the shuttle.
    so it could be a week or 2 before it appears in the for sale section.

    what would it be with a whole roll of sellotape?

    How about €300? I'd want to hear how quiet it is though, Mate has a shuttle and its very loud.
