Dont know where to put this thread. But here goes. I bought a Portable DVD Player in Aldi (229.99) only on the 28th December. Tonight while the son was looking at it is just freezed and stopped playing. Cant find receipt. Can I get a replacement or refund with no receipt? Paid for it by Laser.

Unlikely you'll get a replacement from Aldi (or any retailer) without the receipt. If you get a detailed bank statement with the transaction showing the amount and location, it might do though.
If it doesn't, you can try contacting the manufaturer directly.

There is no absolute requirement in law to have the receipt. To have some evidence is sufficient. Laser receipt + witness statement is enough.

Aldi are normally very good about electronics returns. Are you sure its not the disc that is at fault rather than the player?
