I've yet to find one that really sticks out.

I find that very few places are *always* good. There are some plaecs that will always work as a last resort, and will guarantee you at least a non-crap night because you know everyone there.

I never enjoy clubs, in the traditional sense. The music is loud and crap. They're all aimed at getting people blotto and luring them in with the promise of scoring an equally drunk counterpart.

I can safely say that Isolde's Tower, Karma, MacTurcaills, or The White Horse are the only places in Dublin I've never had a bad night. A good night is 5% location, 95% company tbh. Even the music and the cost in is irrelevant, if you're in good company.

    18-20?
Q Bar, Palace on Camden St, Coyote, Anabels.
Can't guarantee they'll be any good but they will be full of drunk (mostly D4) 18-20 yr old díckheads.

    Q bar, Coyote and anabells?

I would have put those at the bottom of my list for atmosphere, crowd and staff.

Anyone tried the Wax/Spy Bar down on South William Street? My sister was going to try it next week.

When thinking of places that would be majority 18-20 yr olds, those places came to mind first. Most other places around town would be mixed ages.

For that *type* of club id well prefer redz, bouncers sound, and staff seem more efficient. Barcode good too.

Fibbers is pretty good as despite a mixed age group the crowd dont seem to hold their ages against one another. Fair share of lunatics though.

Dance floor roof in reds is too low but a good one you mentioned is barcode out on clontarf road, 2.50 a pint before 7 and 3 euro on Thursday nights.

    you can't group those places!...
Coyote - particularly full of scum usually, ultra young and skobie, although good old fashion college nights can be a wh00p

Palace - I don't think it's a young spot any more since it was closed down for ages and now its a different place, couldn't comment, but I'd imagine slightly older crowd than above and a bit less knackery! :) (only been there twice for short times since reopened)

Q-Bar - less knackery, although has gotten more knackery over the years, the hardcore knacks still regard it as a hard spot to get in2 though... can be very mixed sort of crowd

Anabels - havn't been, but it's the only d4 venue out of those listed

Nah, it's turned back into a Copper Face Jack's for 17/18 year olds. If you're female and you enjoy anonymous groping of your tits, go there.

Q bar and Boomerangs get a really young crowd in my opinion. For a garanteed good night get thee to Copper Face Jacks. Its the biggest s.hit hole ever, but EVERYONE is there for a laugh and its always a great night in my opinion. Its the only place to be on a Monday night! :) Be prepared to get your ass slapped if your female tho!

Im personally quite partial to the Red Box,they play some deadly tunes, and I love the rap remixes they do,combinin tracks etc. And pints of Miller,Fosters etc for 3 quid. All round deadly spot

Redz is a ****ing kip, honestly,it makes you want to let Chemical Ali get to work on the ventilation systems of the Dublin universities. Full of eejits making song requests for Girls Aloud and other youth disco crap. Absoloute hole,i wouldnt take a sh1te in it.*

Coyote.....ack.....aint been in months. DJ was quite good last time, played a load of rap, includin some classic G Funk. But iirc isnt Coyote the place that has one corner colder than an ice rink?

    Boomerangs and Bobs arent bad

Have yet to get into Spirit, turned up completely flutered not long after i turned 18 and got into a verbal dispute with the bouncers after i was told to go get a cup of coffee and come back in a half hour(I believe i responded with "I dont drink coffee, lemme in ya prick!" ). 20 quid admission at the weekend? Fcuk that. Might head in on a Thursday soon, but tbh im not massively arsed

*Ive only been in once, but i was nearly certain it had been Q Bar rather than Redz, but i was told by my mates we had been in Redz. Tbh id been drinking since midday after being on a serious session the night before. Whilst some memory may be hazy,i certainly remember the sh1te music and the smell of students. For the sake of it i will say i was in Redz, seeing as ive been told i was

that keeps the place interesting. :D

or else bruxelles... a great bar, only downfall to there is that sfuking toilet
but fibbers would be my first chice.

Hmmm.. Some of the places I've enjoyed some fine nights (I've just turned 21) in the last year:
    Hogans - George's St.
    Temple Bar Music Centre
The Porterhouse - Near City Hall
    Doyles - Back of Trinity
    Mc Gowans - Phibsborough
Dominion - Under Fraizers in O'Connell St.
