    From RTE.ie

You're a Star to benefit Tsunami Victims

RTÉ, production company Screentime/Shinawil, service providers Esat BT and Phonovation, and telecoms Eircom, Meteor, O2 and Vodafone have agreed that the voting revenue, excluding taxes, will be given to three Irish charities, Concern, Trócaire and Goal.

You're a Star will be broadcast this Sunday on RTÉ One at 6.30pm. Viewers can pledge votes by text, or phone - mobile or landline - for their favourite act when lines open, as announced by Ray d'Arcy, near the end of the show on Sunday night (7.20pm approximately). The voting lines will remain open until 9pm.

The voting results will be broadcast live from The Helix on later at 9.30pm on Sunday night

I'd say we'd be far better off seeing how much the Irish viewership will pledge if RTÉ agree to just not ever show that crap again. Ever.
