    Hi folks,

    I was wondering -
    - what car alarm do you guys use ?
    - how reliable has it been ?
    - approx cost to get installed ?

I have a Sikura alarm/immobiliser on my 1997 Honda. I had it fitted when I bought the car in October '97, for IRL£200.

While the alarm has been reliable, the keyfobs have been repaired twice in the last two years !
(I believe this is a known Sikura 'weakness')

My current car has a factory alarm / immob.
My last two cars had a sikura alarm and whilst I found the alarm to be alright the key fobs (different type of fob for the cars) were absolutely crap. You had to be right beside the car for it to pick up and many times you could be pressing (hard) for a couple of times!
I still have the 1st one out in my shed if anyone wants it (with fobs and manual!)
