i was trying to play a free on line game called wolfenstein - enemy territory but every time i play my computer locks after 5 mins. My system should be able to handle it so i figure that it must be my outdated drivers so im trying to download updates but not being very good at this kinda thing i have no idea what to do.

my card is a radeon 9200 se 128mb (pci) i went to the home page QuoteHere but its not very clear as to which one i have to download. i was guessing it was the first choice - "display driver" for windows xp, but i dont want to take the chance in case i f***k things up.
if this is the correct one will i have to delete the old driver?
if so, is that an easy thing to do??
    can someone help?

Yeah you want the first one. It's probably just an .exe that you double click to install and then restart your computer.

You shouldn't worry about updating drivers, it's really very easy and safe to do. What you should worry about however is that you still have a PCI graphics card, which just happens to be the 9200se, it is always recommended to stay away from se versions of a graphics card. Just go to the drivers page of the Sapphire site and download the 'display driver' which is the Catalyst 4.12 I think (I don't currently have an ATI card). It may not even be the driver causing you the problems (although you should always update the drivers anyway), the problem could be the lack of bandwidth in the PCI interface.

Hope it works. I myself have Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (got it with special edition of Return to Castle Wolfenstein at just €15!) and play it regularly, it's really good. It's not a really graphics intensive game (I can run it fine at high settings on my current GeForce FX5200!) so maybe it is just something to do with the drivers. You said that it only happens when you play online, it could be your CPU causing a problem as well having to deal with all of the extra on screen characters and action. If your PC doesn't even have AGP it must be fairly old, so maybe your best bet for the long run is to get a better PC.
