this is such crap the eircom music club won't let ya into the site becuase it says
    "
You cannot view the eircom net music club because your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements. To use the eircom net music club you need the following programs and Operating Systems installed on your computer:

    · Internet Explorer 5.0 (or higher) - click here to download the latest version

    · Windows Media Player 7.0 (or higher) - click here to download the latest version

    · Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP "

So use IE6, I hardly think yer gonna get spyware off eircom (no matter how dodgy you think thier dealings are!!)

IE6 is'nt that bad, most spyware comes from dodgy installations

I can't use eircom music club either 'cause it's a huge rip-off. €12.50 for one album! I can get an actual CD delivered from cd-wow in Hong Kong for less.

This is firefox you're talking about, not a four year old tantrum thrower like IE6.
Simply tell firefox to pretend to be Internet Explorer when you visit eircom.
    http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/extensions/user_agent_switcher/user_agent_switcher-0.6.1-fx+mz.xpi
or a similar User Agent Switcher should be all you'll need.

If the Agent Switcher doesn't work you can get the "Open in IE" extension which will allow you to open the site.

There is a more advanced one (Forget the name) which knows which sites you want to use in IE only so even clicking on a link/bookmark to it will jump to IE instead of firefox.

or failing all that use the link allofmp3.com

or download iTunes which has opened up in ireland.

    €9.99 an album

I love when the say things like 'Internet Explorer 5 (or better)', so you use Firefox. :)

It's quite stupid to be arguing with customers. First rule of business: The customer is always right.

i shouldn't have to open IE i don't want to use it, eircom or the company that they have contracted to run their music store should make their site viewable from more than one browser anyway its probably not worth the hassle

Not to turn the thread into another eircom rant, but since when have eircom ever considered the customer right?

And yeah, if you're going to pay for music online there's better places, which have been suggested here :)
