    The Flat Earth Research Society

apparently its founder died in march, still maintaining that the world was a flat disk that the stars revolved around. In the irish times science supplement smile.gif

According to the article he went to his grave claiming that the Earth was a flat disk with the North Pole in the centre. Seemingly he wasn't much of a believer in the South Pole smile.gif

Wow that's great. It restores my faith in humanity to see there are still professional nuts around. It ain't easy ya know wink.gif

When you go in for a job interview, I think a good thing to ask is if they ever press charges.

I think they exist as a society, not as believers in a real flat earth - but to play devils advocate in scientific and philosophy circles. The whole flat earth thing is symbolic of not taking anything for granted no matter how well it may be proven.

Old news. They had one of thier spokes people (a woman) on TV one time. She was very serious in what she was trying to get across.

    All bad science.
