I am in the process of setting up an online gallery to help up and coming artists get themselves recognised and get their art sold. I have found that unless you know Bono or some one like that it is impossible to get anywhere.
By the way the art (& artist) that i look after is not crap!
So if you would like to join the gallery (joining is free) and take advantage of this opportunity send me a mail. info@darraghhayden.net.
Once I have enough artists I will apply various marketing techniques.
By the way .... joining the site is free. jpeg photos are necessary.

    Cool. Never enough on-line galleries.
Just a few questions before i submit if that's ok.

How will your site be different to attract art lovers away from the others?
What kind of selection/curration process do you intend using for the work you intend selling?
What is your sales commission on each piece?
I am presuming that you will be redesigning the design of the shop to compete with the professional look of your competition, is this so?

Do you require a contract that the work is for sale on your site only? If so how long does that lock an artist in for? If not what process do you have to ensure that you are informed if the work is sold elsewhere and so removed in a timely manner from your site?

Do you are the artist look after shipping to the buyer?

Have you a marketing plan in place to attract the right buyer for the pricing system you will put in place?

Sorry to ask all these questions but to submit a piece of my art in the wrong place could actually devalue its worth and reflect badly on the rest of my work so as an artist i need to be careful and be sure the gallery is the right match for my work. I am not being fussy, its just basic marketing.
